  1. Ukulele

    January 27, 2018, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM @ Simpson Farm House

    New to the ukulele? Interested in jamming with other adults? Learn and play together in our new ukulele class for adults and explore chords, strumming techniques, and learn easy songs. Please bring your own ukulele to class. Teens and tweens are also welcome. Ukulele class meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 6:00 PM (in the Library) and on the fourth Saturday of the month at 10:00 AM (at the Simpson Farmhouse). This class is free, with no registration required.

  2. Nesting Neighbors

    Learn about the different types of housing needs for birds, and what to look for when choosing a bird house. Learn how to choose the right habitat to place the house, as well as how to keep predators at bay. Observing your bird family will provide hours of pleasure and help you experience the wonders of nature! This free program is sponsored by Wild Birds Unlimited of Lake County. All attendees earn a chance to win door prizes!

  3. Piatigorsky Concert: Cellist Evan Drachman

    January 27, 2018, 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM @ Community Room

    World-class cellist Evan Drachman will be performing works by Bach, Beethoven, Schumann, Chopin and Grieg. His 2018 travel schedule will include tours of Washington, Louisiana, Texas, Florida, North Carolina and Montana. He will be accompanied by pianist Victor Asuncion. The Piatigorsky Foundation is dedicated to making live classical music an integral part of everyday life for communities throughout the United States. Gregor Piatigorsky, the renowned Russian cellist for whom the organization is named, believed that music is not a luxury for an elite few, but a necessity of life for all.
