    Saturday, December 16th the Modernism Museum Mount Dora will host an origami workshop perfect for the holidays. We are welcoming back Paula Davis, the talented instructor who will lead this creative workshop focusing on the construction of a German Christmas Star Ornament. With the ornaments created, Ms. Davis will show how you can turn your ornaments into a wreath– just in time for your Christmas décor, it is right around the corner! This workshop is for participants 14 years of age or older. Tickets are $20 each for non-members or $15 for 3MD members.     This Christmas season, tucked into the twinkling lights of downtown Mount Dora, the Mount Dora School of Ballet returns to present Lake Ballet Theater’s Nutcracker, Tchaikovsky’s famous, full-length ballet. Under the expertise and artistic vision of Director Kathryn Wheeler, a cast of MDSB dancers, as well as professional artists from the Orlando Ballet and other prestigious companies, will perform The Nutcracker. The iconic ballet is a Christmas tradition full of sugary delights and sweet pleasures. Theater guests will be mesmerized by the skill and artistry as ballerinas transport the audience into the dreams of Clara and through The Land of Sweets. This classical story is not one to be missed. Make the Lake Ballet Theater’s Nutcracker part of your Christmas tradition. Mark your calendar for December 16th and 17th. The ballet will be held at the Mount Dora Community Building.     Learn how to use Excel to organize numbers and text in a spreadsheet format. Excel spreadsheets can be used for budgets, work and school projects, record-keeping, lists, inventories, and more. By the end of this class you should be able to create and format a spreadsheet; enter and edit data; and use basic formulas to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers in a horizontal row or vertical column.
