A strategic plan defines an organization's vision, mission, and priorities in an effort to direct the allocation of resources for achieving its stated goals. The City Council began its strategic planning process in 2016 with Marilyn Crotty of the Florida League of Cities. Out of that process, the City established a strategic plan with five major strategic goals, each with a number of specific objectives. City Council has continued to meet on an annual basis to reassess and redefine the City's strategic plan, which guides the budgeting process.
In preparation for the FY2020-21 Budget process, City of Mount Dora engaged Ken Peach of Future Vision Group II, LLC to facilitate the strategic planning session. On this page you will find the PowerPoint presentation produced by Mr. Peach, the documents utilized during the current strategic planning process, and the City's adopted Strategic Plans.
